Good afternoon,

At today's meeting I was keying into the connection of Reza's beam studies request to the $1.35M grant we just received for ML/AI for SRF and was completely forgetting the recent SBIR $40k grant we received with RadiaSoft (details attached). This is the grant for Smart Alarms.

For what it's worth I think getting data as Reza requested, in advance of the end of run, is important for this R&D.

Hi Mike and Reza,

Apologies that I wasn't at the BTeam to clear up any misunderstandings. So we received $40K through an SBIR II proposal with RadiaSoft to develop a "smart alarm" in the CEBAF injector. I don't have a "congratulations we got it" e-mail that I can find, so I'm sending you the confirmation that we have the money in hand and an account set up. This is just a 1-year project and so being able to get data now, rather than sometime next summer, is vitally important. Otherwise, we are essentially sitting on our hands for the next 9 months.

I'm also attaching a document that summarizes the goals of our work (Radiasoft is also working with BNL on a different ML project as part of the award). I am listed as the PI and Reza as co-PI/subject matter expert.
