Dear colleagues,
The division provided guidance to us on IPAC'22 travel approvals
yesterday based on constraints from DOE and lab leadership. We are
able to send some staff to the conference, though we can still only
send a relatively short list. Only five staff members out of
all of accelerator division received approval, plus four students.
In CASA, the travel approvals are for Ryan and Edy, along with
Bhawin and Isurumali who are part of the student grant program
as was discussed earlier this morning.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I am sorry that we
cannot send a full contingent to IPAC this year, but this may be
for the best considering international COVID developments; there
is even still some considerable chance that the conference itself
and associated travel are still impacted if COVID cases continue
to rise in Thailand, the US, or interconnecting countries, or if
international security concerns further develop in upcoming months.
-Todd
