[Casa] CASA news, Yves acting CASA director Jan 6-10

Hi folks,

Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a refreshing and relaxing
holiday/shutdown period. The weather certainly did not feel like the
end of December!

I restarted CASA Coffee meetings starting Mon Jan 13, as I am up at
BNL for the EIC DOE OPA CD-3B review next week. Yves has graciously
agreed to act as CASA director over that week, given the emphasis at
the lab on preparing for the next CEBAF run and now-weekly BTeam
meetings. It has been a while since we have operated CEBAF, so it
is good for us to focus on doing everything we can to support
operations and have a bit more visibility in MCC.

Thanks to Yves (Jan 29-Feb 12) and Nick (Mar 12-26) who have
volunteered for program deputy (PD) roles in the new year, and to all
who have served as PDs in the past year. There are still plenty of
opportunities to engage here if you have the time and are interested
in such a role; it is a great way to get to know a lot of the crews
and operations support teams:

We also have a JLab Accelerator Advisory Committee (JLAAC) meeting
coming up Feb 4-6, and some members traveling to USPAS in Knoxville
at the end of the month (Jan 27-Feb 7). We'll be planning more for
these in upcoming weeks.
