[Casa] NICA commissioning run started earlier this year

Thanks for your response, Todd, and suggested links to the info. Yes, as far as my understanding may go, NICA is targeting  a rather diverse yet very intriguing program pursuing our understanding the Universe et c from nuclei collisions, in particular with spin-polarized beams. We may wish them successful productive operation to benefit the nuclear and fundamental physics pushed by the whole World community .

Hi folks,

There was some talk about NICA at the coffee and donuts meeting this morning, and Slava mentioned that he had heard NICA was starting to operate. Indeed, I found some info that indicates that the first commissioning run of NICA started in March, with first collisions of Xenon slated for later this year. Thanks for the heads-up, Slava!
