Summary of last day (or so) which I will try to do each day when the opportunity presents itself.
Completed first production run before start of Hall A spin dance (78M events).
Did FTOF/CTOF calibration run during spin dance (not sensitive to polarization)
20 nA
94M triggers
Runs 11329, 11330 were taken before the spin dance
started so they have unchanged polarization.
Did random trigger run
50 nA
3 hrs of beam on target
Zhiwen is cooking now.
Did Moeller run after spin dance was complete
polarization changed from 87 +/- 1.5 % to 85 +/- 1.5 %
Issue: There is a communication issue somewhere in the chain from MCC to the
CLAS12 beamline GUI. The beam energy is 11.4 GeV, but is being reported
as 11.2 GeV to the GUI. MCC is aware of this. Since the beam energy
effects the Moeller configuration, this could effect the polarization
calculation.
Ready to return to production running, but MCC needs an access to the accelerator
tunnel which will delay data taking.
Harp scans - There were some inconsistencies between the harp scans taken this
morning in preparation for production running and scans from earlier this week
and in December. This appears to have been resolved. The choice of data range
for the analysis was sub-optimal.
Beam to 50 nA - On Tuesday owl shift we took production data at 40 nA. We tried 50 nA,
but the DC HV trip rate was too high. During the day Mac Mestayer tuned the
setting of HV to reduce the trip and succeeded. We were able to run at 50 nA
today (Wednesday).
