Dear all,
this is a long holiday weekend in France, so I would like to cancel
tomorrow's meeting. We can share more information via email with whoever
needs to know more, but here is a summary of what has happened this week:
* Calibrations:
- the FTOF calibration was completed for the runs towards the end of the
spring period, monitoring pass for those runs was done, timelines were
produced:
https://clas12mon.jlab.org/rgb/pass0/v21.7.5/tlsummary/ timelines for the
concerned set of runs
https://clas12mon.jlab.org/rgb/pass0/v21.7.3_v21.7.5/tlsummary/ previous
timelines but with new data for the last set of runs
Things look much better for FTOF, and from the timelines there seems not
to be the need for further calibration adjustments for the other timing
detectors.
Once FT calibration is done we'll move to a final pass-0 monitoring
cooking and prepare a reply for the review committee.
I got feedback from the DC guys about the "jump" in the residuals
timelines, it will be included in the reply to the committee.
The farm has very slow these days.
* Testing & debugging
- Zhiwen has cooked a couple of runs with the new release and tests are
ongoing: FC/livetime info was checked in decoded files, all good; the CD
veto for charged particles is being checked; beta shift for CD neutrals is
a bit improved in new release but not fully gone, nor fully understood
yet. Improvements to the train definition for nDVCS were done too.
* PAC jeopardy proposal
Thanks to Angela and Jerry for their contributions to the jeopardy
proposal. I'll try and finalize the nDVCS/pDVCS part this weekend and
circulate for you all a pseudo-final version to submit to the review
committee next week. I still need some input from the BAND guys (about the
detector and about the physics results part), and possibly from the SIDIS
guys (Marco M. & C?).
Whoever wants to contribute, please get in touch and I'll send you the
edit link.
Please let me know if there is anything I forgot that should be shared
with the whole group :-)
Best regards,
Silvia
