Sorry, if you receive this twice. My first reply to FX email is held for 
moderator approval because of > 40KB size. ... sounds ridiculous to have 
such a low limit for a run group distribution list.  So, I had to strip 
out the email trail to get my comments to the RGK distribution.

I remember in the CLAS era I found quite a number of cable swabs by just 
studying tracks and track segments in CED. After pass1 cooking they were 
then included in gsim.
Finding cable swaps in CD BMT tracker should be more straight forward 
because of the simpler geometry with the 90 degree crossing angles. 
Also, the missing track segments will show up somewhere else in the the 
BMT. So, if you have missing hits and those hits show up somewhere else 
in BMT where they are not related to tracks this may be a good 
candidate.  A student could spent some time on training his/her eyes on 
finding those swaps.
For now (after pass 1 cooking) those swaps may be included in GEMC to 
account for loss in tracking efficiency or other effects. Of course they 
should eventually be fixed in pass 2 cooking and, if possible, in hardware.
