Hello All,
The following points that need to be addressed for the RICH detector:
1. Have the bolt size and lift points for the assembly structure been
determined?
2. What is the status of the ASME relief valve approval for the cooling
system?
3. What are the delivery dates for the remaining mirror shipments?
4. Air compressors:
1. George will look into the compressors with the information
Sandro sent on 6/1/2016. However, I was not able to find the
exact SF11-8 MC FF model in the brochure linked in the email.
5. The space on the Forward Carriage will be measured to ensure the
compressors and air tank will fit.
6. Safety documentation:
1. Is the THA correct?
2. Who will be writing the Operational Safety Procedure (OSP) for
the detector?
7. Aerogel delivery:
1. What are the delivery dates for the remaining aerogel shipments?
2. Since Valery mentioned that the moisture can be heated out of
the aerogel, I guess it wouldn't be an issue to store the
aerogel in the open cleanroom since space is running out in the
dry boxes.
8. What are the delivery dates for the electronics?
1. Mindy will help with any hardware work for the assembly of the
electronic panel and the fabrication of any cabling needed.
9. The interlocks system and cRIO parts list is attached. Please note
the pricing and quantity of some items are yet to be determined and
for those items, a rough cost estimate is provided. Also, please
note that the list does not account for any spare parts.
10. Interlock system sensors:
1. What are the number of variables that need to be monitored?
2. What space is available for the sensors within the detector?
3. Humidity sensors:
1. What precision of measurement is needed? The sensor you
suggested measures to +/- 1.8 % relative humidity; the
sensors used to monitor the SVT humidity measure to +/- 3.5%
relative humidity. Since Valery mentioned the humidity would
not be a big issue and can be heated out of the aerogel,
would the SVT sensors be okay?
2. How many humidity sensors are needed?
3. Where is the placement of the humidity sensors within the
detector?
4. Temperature sensors:
1. What is the precision of measurement needed?
2. How many temperature sensors are needed?
3. Where is the placement of the temperature sensors in the
detector?
5. Air flow sensors:
1. What is the precision of measurement needed?
2. How many air flow sensors are needed?
3. What type of air flow sensors should be used?
4. How much space is there available for the sensors inside the
detector?
5. Where is the placement of the air flow sensors in the detector?
11. PCs for testing:
1. Amrit informed me on his return that the PCs I have previously
said that would be available for use would be needed soon for
other projects (my apologies on the miscommunication).
2. Are there PCs that could be brought for the testing?
3. Who would buy the PCs and monitors if they need to be bought?
12. The PCs for the mirror testing would have to go on the guest network.
1. Is the guest network okay?
2. Is a network connection even needed for the tests?
13. What is the status on the gas systems?
In addition to the above points, the interlock system is being developed
and the specifications will be authored by Amanda for distribution. For
the interlock system, the number of variables to be monitored, the
alarms that will be set, and the trip levels will need to be determined.
Sincerely,
Tyler
