hi ben,
much as i think i understand you, i am rather depressed processing what
you say, because i think it is defeatist, hopefully i'm wrong.
if i used your logic, no one else other than the usa would have built a
space shuttle, sent a rocket to mars (by the way india did it and was a
a factor of hundred cheaper), built cell phones, developed operating
systems, done stem cell research, no one else other than us would have
built an accelerator, developed bubble chambers and so on and on.
i believe in self reliance, no matter how much someone else is
experienced at something, we can do it and we'll do it better.
experience just tells us that we have made that mistake before.
/and after all you are here aren't you- in you i trust!/
so take a deep breath, we can do it.
