[Clas12_software] Tentative agenda for the CLAS12 Software Workshop

Hi Folks,

   As you may know we have received funding from JSA/SURA to hold a workshop
in late May on recent offline software developments in nuclear and particle
physics and the current status of our own efforts for CLAS12. We have begun
preparations for the workshop and an outline of the tentative program is
below. We would like to get feedback on our plan so feel free to send
comments to the organizers.

Morning (plenary session)

Michael Ernst - Director of RHIC and ATLAS Computing
Chip Watson - Offline computing at JLab.
Graham Heyes - Computing requirements for CLAS12.

Afternoon (plenary session) - Description of the CLAS12 Software.

   1. CLARA - Service Oriented Architecture, Vardan Gyurjyan.
   2. gemc - CLAS12 simulation, Maurizio Ungaro.
   3. gemc - recent results, Jerry Gilfoyle.
   4. CED12 - CLAS12 visualization, Dave Heddle.
   5. Socrat - CLAS12 reconstruction, Sebastien Procureur/Mac Mestayer.
   6. CLAS12 reconstruction using the JANA framework, Maurizio Ungaro.

Afternoon (organizing committee session) - Feedback from external speakers.

Evening - reception

May 26

Morning (lab session) - Tutorials on CLAS12 Software.

   1. Tutorial on downloading, installing, running, and using gemc for
CLAS12 simulation.
   2. Tutorial on downloading, building, running, and using Socrat/JSocrat
for event reconstruction.
   3. Tutorial on downloading, building, running, and using CLARA.

A DVD will be available for all participants with all the relevant software.
