Hello Softies;

We had our weekly meeting at 11; lots of interesting
discussions.

1- long discussion of how and where to handle throwing
and catching of exceptions; it was pointed out that
the user needs to know where the exception occurred, etc.
Johann, Gagik and Vaardan agreed on a scheme to accomplish
this.

2- discussion about how to make standard interfaces to
services; we all agreed on the need to enforce consistency
even at the loss of some flexibility

3- Veronique led a discussion on common tools; for example,
Gagik is developing a histogramming suite which should be
useful to many

4- we discussed how to distribute the computing environment
necessary to run services (libraries, executables, etc.);
not clear if this will be the Virtual Machine method

5- we all agreed that we need a coherent plan to release
official code

6- Johann announced that evio has been simplified with a
fixed bank structure; this should make evio -> ROOT simpler,
for example.

7- work on the Event Builder is on hold until I/O work is
complete
