Mohammad,
I was wondering if you did get the latest version of the FASTMC?
As we discussed when I was at Argonne the distortions come from the
fact that you plot the phi angle in the vertex frame. I guess even a
more recent version of FASTMC will give a similar distortion, as it is
the result of the solenoid field bending the electrons in phi and with
increasing polar angle and lower momentum the effect will be increasing.
So, electrons entering one given sector have started at different phi
angles at the vertex. In order to eliminate the effect you need to plot
against the phi angle at the first layer of DC region 1 as the
integrated solenoid field is nearly zero there.
I am not sure the FASTMC allows you to do it, but once you use the full
reconstruction then the coordinate in DC layer 1 region 1 (dc1) should
be computed and phi_dc1 calculated.
