Yo colleagues,
There is a new version of ced that you probably do NOT want to download.
Yet.
This version (0.99.02) works with HIPO data, not evio data. The cruel
taskmasters who lead the Hall B software effort summarily decided to change
formats. Evio has been deemed "sooooo last millennium." We little people
have to go along.
When you are ready to "go Hipo" get any version of ced >= 0.99.02. That's
assuming you want *any* version of ced.
Ced will not support evio going forward. Unless the cruel taskmasters are
exceptionally cruel. As I understand it, evio will henceforth be used only
for raw, undecoded crate-slot-channel data of which ced has no interest.
All *decoded* data will be in Hipo. (Until it isn't. Can you say "BOS"?).
So new versions of ced support three and only three data sources: Hipo
files, Hipo rings, and FastMC/Lund files. That is all. ced will not support
four sources, and five is right out of the question.
The last evio ced is still available. As usual, you can get ced here:
