[Clas12_software] pathological photons

Volker,

We saw this in April also for out-bending runs.  My explanation in the attached slides was based on observation in CED of scraping at small angles, causing unreconstructed out-bending tracks and energy deposition in PCAL/EC, which the EB interprets as photons.  The correlation of calorimeter energy and theta arises because these tracks arise from a ‘point’ source and calorimeter theta momentum analyses the tracks.

The question is why for the current outbending run does this not occur for sectors 5 and 6?
