Natalie,
Congratulations, this is a nice opportunity for you. A few comments on your
abstract:
I suggest adding a sentence after your 1st sentence:
"Recent LQCD calculations have confirmed the long standing quark model
predictions of many more states than have so far been identified [ref]."
[ref] R.G. Edwards, et al., Phys. Rev. D84 074508 (2011)
2nd sentence: "...the database, which will allow..."
=> "...the database that will allow..." .
(ie. it's specifically the database that enables the PWA.)
3rd sentence: PWA determine amplitudes; they do not separate resonance and
background components. That requires a model. I suggest the following
rewording,
"Polarization observables are essential to constraining the production
amplitude, which is the crucial starting point to disentangling overlapping
resonances and background processes."
