Dear Colleagues,

It is with my great regret and sorrow to distribute the news of loosing a dear colleague,
Prof. Barry L. Berman. Not only we have lost a great physicist that contributed in so many
ways to the nuclear physics and particle physics community, but also his death has caused
deep sadness and shock to all of his friends all around the world. To those of us who had the
opportunity to work with him closely, he will be dearly missed. He will be remembered dearly
and remain as an inspiration especially to those who witnessed his high spirit, sharp mind,
and sense of humor even at difficult times of his battle with cancer.

Our hearts go to his family.
