Hello, 
I am very very sad to learn about Barry Berman's passing away. He was 
my PhD thesis advisor. I owe it to him, to his passion and enthusiasm for 
nuclear physics and to the trust and support he always gave me, if I have 
continued working in research after graduating. 
My deepest condolescences to his family and to all the collegues that 
worked with him at GWU.
