Dear CLAS members,
The CLAS12 software group is planning to hold a workshop for programmers who would like to learn how to create a "service" (i.e. a programming module) for the CLARA (CLAS12 Reconstruction and Analysis) framework. This workshop would be of interest mainly to programmers responsible for calibrating a detector subsystem for CLAS12, but may also be of interest to others who want to get involved with the track reconstruction, particle ID, etc.
WHEN: September 6, 2012, 08:30 - noon.
WHERE: Jefferson Lab, room F113.
Website: http://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/CLAS12_Software_Workshop_2012.09
IMPORTANT: please reply to hicks at ohio.edu<mailto:hicks at ohio.edu> if you are interested in attending the Sept. 6 workshop.
A separate workshop is being planned for people who want to use CLARA (but not to do programming of services). This would be of interest mainly to people writing proposals for CLAS12 or other physics project using the current detector reconstruction services in CLARA. This second workshop will likely be held during the plenary session of our next CLAS Collaboration meeting. More details will be sent later.
Best regards,
Ken
