RC Report, 19 February 2023

General Summary
- in general, it has been a good day/night, not big jumps in our data taking besides the accelerator perfromance, which has behaved much better than the last weeks from my point of view. 
- Nathan has advised the use of Chrome instead Firefox for hydra due to the memory leaks--> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4133990
- Denny informed the shfit crew about the transient minor alarm from the Torus, that being minor and very sporadic, no need to stop the run and enter the hall, but he will check the alarm settings on Monday --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4133886
- around 21:40 HWP changed to IN
- There was a RICH recovery during Owl shift during a beam down. I guess that is my fault, since I forgot to ask for RICH recovery during the day. 
- If I understand the chart correctly we collected in the last days (since Feb 15)
--- 0.94mC on NH3 with:
----- 0.517mC Positive Pol 
----- 0.424mC Negative Pol

- Target polarization  -58.34% (at 12:10)

Today and Tomorrow Morning plan:
- Continue taking data
- I believe the BCM calibrations for Hall D will start at 10 am sharp. Since we didn't have PD/RC meeting today, it is not clear for me when we can ask for controlled access. I guess this will be decided tomorrow morning and will be also up to us. If it is up to us, I guess we can stop beam around 8am. Please, write me for feedback about this issue. 
- With beam down time decided, I will ask RadCon to proceed to survey the beam line

Fact of the Day (today inspired by Annalisa email):
Pasta, one (or hundreds, depending of how you see it) of the wonderful culinary arts of Italy, IT IS NOT A SIDE DISH!! It is an art by itself, and art should enjoyed without other decorations. But do not accept gross imitations. Pasta with meatballs is a no-no, pasta and THEN meatballs is ok. Carbonara doesn't have cream, is simple, guanciale (maybe pancetta, and worse case not smoked bacon), egg, pecorino-romano o parmiggiano-reggiano (don't you dare to use parmesan) and black pepper. Please, if I see you putting ketchup in the pasta as dressing, stop talking to me. I am Spaniard, but I don't play with pasta. If you go to HADRON 23 in Genova, try something different, Spaghetti alle vongole, Spaghetti allo Scoglio or the authentic Pesto Genovese. Saluti!!
