Dear Deep Processes Working Group and CLAS Members,
The current DPWG Chair, Maxime Defurne, has recently stepped down, and Silvia Niccolai is covering his term until its end, which will be on August 31, 2025. We consequently need to elect a new DPWG Chair. The vote will take place via a webpage that will be setup in the near future after the full list of chair candidates is collected. On behalf of the nominating committee, consisting of Marco Contalbrigo and myself, I am writing to ask you for nominations for the next DPWG Chair. Self-nominations are welcome. Nominated colleagues should be full CLAS members. All Full and Term members who are also declared members of DPWG are allowed to vote once the voting is open.
This position is important to serve the CLAS Collaboration to organize/chair the DPWG meetings at the CLAS Collaboration meetings, to provide a point of contact on data analysis, and to organize and track DPWG-associated analysis reviews. The successful candidate will also serve as a member of the CLAS Coordinating Committee (CCC). All nominated candidates who agree to run for the DPWG chair will need to provide a short statement on their qualifications that will be attached to the election page for DPWG voting members to consider as they make their choice.
Please, send your nominations to us by August 4th (5 p.m. EDT). The vote will open on August 6th (8 a.m EDT) and close on August 29 (5 p.m. EDT). The new DPWG chair term will begin on September 1st.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask. More information on the CLAS governance (i.e., the charter and bylaws) is at the site below.

Thank you for your consideration,
Eric Voutier and Marco Contalbrigo
