[Clas_offline] clasweb migration status -- help needed...

All,

I think that the clasonline logbook and runinfo stuff is working, at least
from the testing I've done and what's been reported. There is an open issue
regarding email notifications sent when a user selects "Action Required" and
enters an email address when making an entry. I am working on this now.
Several other issues have already been corrected.

In addition to the logbook app, there have been reports of several other
items. A few were trivial changes, but there are a few that are not. Some
will require some help from you folks. I've indicated these issues below:

*** ITEMS THAT NEED ACTION FROM YOU ***

CLONDB1 Permission Change Needed (Sergey?) --

/cgi-bin/epics_history/epics.pl script returns a blank page - This currently
generates an error indicating that access to a DB on clonbdb1 is being
denied to the user 'clasweb'@'claswebnew.jlab.org' . When the system goes
into production, it will be called "clasweb.jlab.org", but this will still
require an update on clondb1 since the current system is called claspc28.
Can you add permissions for both clasweb and claswebnew? This will allow us
to get a bit further with testing and will also be ready when we go into
production.

Recompile Old (Perl 5.6) Pezca.so file (??Unknown Person??) --

Many scripts appear to reference this library via a perl module. This
appears to be compiled against the earlier perl (5.6) release used on
claspc28 (the current clasweb machine). This will need to be recompiled and
installed for the 5.8.x perl release used on the newer claswebnew server.

Non-specific script problems (??Unknown Person??) -

There are also scripts like /cgi-bin/ONLINE_TIMELINE/timeline_frames.pl that
don't work. The only error in the log is a "Premature end of script headers"
message which is sort of the cgi equivalent of a syntax error. Is there
someone familiar with this that can have a look? I've installed gnuplot, on
the local system, but still no luck. I'm not sure if there's something else
missing, or what.

Thanks,

Marty
