Dear Keith,

1) We added more description for Figure 1 in the caption.

2) Making a tighter PID cuts would require a better ability to reproduce the
effects of the cut in the
simulation, possibly introducing an error in the upper limit determination.
Allowing more electrons into the
data sample only slightly increases the background under the Lambda and Cascade
peaks, but does
not increase the number of events in the peaks. This will result in a slightly
higher upper limit.
We also want to point out that we did use a tighter cut selection to try to see
the Phi-- peak
(which we did not), so we relaxed the cuts to be able to have reproducible
simulations to calculate the upper
limits for the cross sections.

3) We added a sentence to define DOCA.

4) We received multiple comments regarding this sentence and implemented what we
thought is
the best combination.

5) The HERMES experiment really was an electroproduction experiment where the
scattered electron
was not detected. We changed 'photoproduction' to 'small-angle electroproduction' .

6) We added 'the' before 'measured' in the caption.

7) As we pointed out in bullet #2, we used tighter selection cuts to look for
enhancements in
Xi-pi- spectrum. We used detached vertex cuts for both Lambda-decays and
Xi-decays. But the vertex
position distribution in CLAS does not seem to be well reproduced in 'gsim', so
we removed the
cuts to estimate the upper limits for the cross sections.
