Dear Charles,
Thanks for your comments. There were discussions on the subject of the
subject
of the accidental background during the review. Eventually we decided
not to include
plots in the paper to avoid confusion, all that such background does
for this
experiment is to somewhat reduce the
experimental sensitivity, which results in a higher upper limit for the
cross sections.
Note that accidental coincidence events do not contribute to cascade
peak or to
possible Phi-- peak. The event selection criteria for this analysis was
chosen not to
be strict to minimize the uncertainty due to acceptance evaluation.
