Dear Igor, Or, Larry et al.,
I have read through the draft of your paper on SRC measurements in 12C. While I
am not an expert on this physics, I was able to follow your paper and appreciated
its organization and layout. Most of my comments deal with grammar/style. If you
have any questions, let me know.
Regards,
Daniel

General:
- You have inconsistent notation with the speed of light. Sometimes in the units
you put "c" in math mode and sometimes you put "c" in roman font. Be consistent.
- Several places in the text you refer to "online supplementary materials". I have
never seen this before for a Phys. Rev. Lett. article. Where will these supplementary
materials be located? Have they all been approved by the Physics Working Group?
If they are included in an analysis note, why is this not loaded onto the CLAS analysis
note web page and referenced from there?
Page 1:
- Title. You use a quotation mark in the reaction instead of a "prime" on the scattered electron.
- Line 19. Use "... and astrophysics, including ...".
- Line 39. Use "... which determines the properties ...".
Page 2:
- Line 77. Use "CLAS utilized a toroidal magnetic ...". (Drop the leading "The" and use past
tense.)
- Line 123. Use "... a single nucleon that does not interfere ...".
- Fig. 2 caption. Line 2. Use "... events passing the ...".
- Line 130. Use "on-shell".
Page 3:
- Line 134. Use "We also define the missing energy ...".
- Line 145. The cuts on the angle between pf and q and the ratio of pf/q used to select SRC
events are given without motivation and thus appear arbitrary. I think some words here
to motivate these cuts would strengthen the discussion.
Page 4:
- Line 198. Use "We applied the same ...".
- Line 209. Use "... two prescriptions for the off-shell ...".
- Line 248. Typo on "counting".
Refs:
- You do not need to include the arXiv number for articles that are already published.
- Ref. [5]. Use "Phys. Rev. Lett.".
- Ref. [11]. Use "Phys. Rev. Lett.".
