EXTREME QCD (xQCD) is a series of international workshop-style conferences,
held annually, which aims to cover recent advances in the theory and
phenomenology of QCD under extreme conditions of temperature and/or baryon
density, together with related topics. The program consists of invited and
contributed talks and a poster session. This year's meeting is hosted by
The George Washington University, Washington, D.C., from August 21 to
August 23, 2012.
PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS in these series were held in San Carlos (2011),
Bad Honnef (2010), Seoul (2009), Raleigh (2008), Roma (2007),
Brookhaven (2006), Swansea (2005), Argonne (2004), Nara (2003).

* Heavy-ion theory
* Heavy-ion experiment
* Physics of neutron stars
* QCD phase diagram in presence of magnetic fields
* Strongly-correlated fermions
* Non-zero baryon density and the sign problem
* Heavy quarks and quarkonia
INVITED SPEAKERS:

Massimo D'Elia (University of Pisa)
Zoltan Fodor (Wuppertal University)
Jim Lattimer (SUNY at Stony Brook)
Yusuke Nishida (Los Alamos National Lab)
Peter Petreczky (Brookhaven National Lab)
Sinead Ryan (Trinity College Dublin)
Christian Schmidt (University of Bielefeld)
Edward Shuryak (SUNY at Stony Brook)

REGISTRATION is required for participation. Registration is now
open on the meeting web-site:
http://www.gwu.edu/~physics/xqcd2012/registration.html
The registration will close on June 1, 2012.
There is no registration fee for the workshop.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To help us organize the meeting, we ask each
participant to indicate the preferred form of presentation: talk or
poster. We will try to accommodate everyone's preference based on
the availability of time slots. We will put together the program
by June 15th and send a confirmation email to each participant,
indicating which form of presentation has been accepted for the program.
VENUE: The George Washington University.
TRAVEL information is located on the meeting web-site:
