        JSA Accepting Applications for Academic Year 2013-2014

The JSA/JLab Graduate Fellowship Program is funded by theJSA Initiatives Fund  <http://www.jsallc.org/IF/IFIndex.html>.
JSA will award  fellowships to qualified doctoral  students atSURA member universities  <http://www.sura.org/about/members.html>
for research related to the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab  <http://www.jlab.org/>)
in Newport News, Virginia.  Each fellowship will provide the awardee's
home institution with a $10,000 stipend (~half of a normal academic year
research assistant stipend). The awardee's home institution must agree
to provide the remaining research assistant stipend from institutional
or research funds.  An additional $2,000 supplemental stipend is
provided to the awardee's home institution for the graduate student.
Conference travel support is also available with the fellowships. Funds
for the 2013 Graduate Fellowship Program are limited.
  

Within ninety days after  completing a fellowship, awardees are
required to provide a written report to JSA  on accomplishments during
the period of the fellowship, including:

      Results of experimental or theoretical research undertaken at Jefferson Lab

  *

    Summaries of talks or lectures based on such research

  *

    Copies of preprints/publications based on such research
