Dear Jefferson Lab Users,

On behalf of the Users Group Board of Directors, I wish you a healthy and productive 2013.

We would like to remind you of several important deadlines:
1) This Friday, January 11, is the deadline for abstracts for the APS Spring meeting in Atlanta (April 13-16). It would be good if many of us could go - of course, there will be the customary Users Group Satellite meeting with refreshments. Immediately preceding the APS meeting (April 10-12), the APS Topical Group for Hadronic Physics holds their 2013 meeting, at the same place. Abstract deadline is February 1.
2) The deadline to vote in the DNP executive committee elections is January 21. PLEASE VOTE - there are two members of the Users Group on the ballot, Zein-Eddine Meziani for the chair line and Haiyan Gao for member-at-large.

And closer to home:
3) The JSA Outstanding Nuclear Physicist Award has a nomination deadline of January 11.
4) The JLab Thesis Prize competition closes on February 1. All nominations, theses, and letters of support must be received before this deadline.
5) Applications for JSA/JLab graduate fellowships must be received by February 26.
