"The GlueX Experiment in Hall-D"

Abstract:

Experimental Hall-D is designed primarily to host the
GlueX experiment, a search for hybrid meson states
formed by exciting the gluonic field that binds the
quarks. The hermetic detector build upon a large
superconducting solenoid will produce data at
up to ~3GB/sec, rates unprecented at Jefferson Lab.
An overview of the experiment and detectors will be given.
