*** Final submission deadline 7 April 2013*
Dear Colleagues,
I am very pleased to announce you that the 11th International Topical
Meeting on Nuclear Applications of Accelerators (AccApp) will take place
from August 5 to 8, 2013 in the beautiful and historical surroundings of
Bruges (a Unesco world heritage city) in Belgium and will be organized
by SCK•CEN in cooperation with the Accelerator Applications Division of
the American Nuclear Society (ANS).
The Meeting will be organized at the historical site “Oud Sint-Jan”
which was a hospital in the Middle Ages, one of the first in Europe in
fact. The site affords a fine view of a number of historical gems, such
as the Bruges canals and the Church of our Lady and the city of Bruges
is called the Venice of the North.
We hope to meet you this August in the lovely city Bruges and we would
like to ask you to spread the news to your colleagues and other
interested parties. Please note that the deadline for submitting papers
is 7 April 2013.

*VENUE *
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The *AccApp'13 *will be held at the *Oud Sint-Jan Art and Conference
Centre*.
The Oud Sint-Jan Art and Conference Centre is housed in a historic
building: a 19th century hospital. One of the first hospitals of Europe
was already located on this site in the Middle Ages. The centre is
located in the very heart of Bruges and bordered by the typical canals.
The beautiful inner courtyard looks onto the tower of the Church of Our
Lady.
The Oud Sint-Jan Art and Conference Centre has its own pay car park and
is located within 7 minutes’ walking distance from the train station.
The *City of Bruges* is located in the northwest part of Belgium, at a 1
hour drive from Brussels and 20 minutes from the Belgian coast. The
historic city center is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. The
city center features a peculiar style with a medieval flavor. Along with
its large numbers of water channels, Bruges is sometimes referred to as
The Venice of the North. The town also houses many museums and can be
considered as a major cultural crossroads in the heart of Europe.
We look forward to welcoming you to Bruges on the occasion of *AccApp'13*.
Yours sincerely,
*Hamid Aït Abderrahim*, SCK•CEN
General Chair
*Philip Cole*, Idaho State University
*Sotirios Charisopoulos*, International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA
General Co-Chairs
