Dear Colleagues,
The Neutrino Scattering Theory Experimental Collaboration (NuSTEC) will
organize the 2014 NuSTEC Training in Neutrino Nucleus Scattering Physics
to be held at Fermilab 21 - 29 October 2014.
The primary goal of this NuSTEC Training will be to provide a focused
introduction to both the nuclear and particle physics of neutrino
nucleus scattering. The training program will be 9 days long including
a free day at the halfway point. The training is based on immersion with
close participant-lecturer contact. A training day will consist of four
1-hour lectures and a 1.5 hour long evening recitation session
encouraging questions/discussions on all of the day's lectures. Although
this training is ideally suited for experimental and theoretical
advanced graduate students and young postdocs, many more senior
researchers may find these lectures informative and are welcome to
participate.
A registration fee currently set at $650 for participants needing a
hotel covers the participant's portion of lodging (10 nights in a shared
double room, single available for additional fee) as well as breakfast
and lunch, all coffee breaks and transportation between the hotel and
Fermilab. For those staying in the hotel, NuSTEC offers a limited
number of partial support grants for the registration fees. If you would
like to apply for this support, please follow the instructions on the
application form.
For participants already living at/around Fermilab not needing the
hotel, there is a reduced registration fee of $250 that will include
lunch, coffee breaks and the recitation and nightcap at the hotel.
For further information, including a list of planned lectures and
application procedures, please refer to the Training Program website:

The early application deadline is 21 July and is particularly
recommended for those who will need to obtain a visa. The final
application deadline is 18 August.
Sincerely,
The NuSTEC Training Program Organizers
