Dear GHP members and friends,
Elections will be held in October to fill open positions on the Executive
Committee of the GHP (the APS Topical Group on Hadronic Physics). We will
be electing a new Vice-Chair and one Member-at-Large. At this time we
are requesting your input on potential candidates for these positions.
The nominating committee consists of:
Christine Aidala
John Arrington (Chair)
Calvin Howell
Wally Melnitchouk
Please send your suggestions to the Chair and/or to any of the members
of the nominating committee BEFORE SEPTEMBER 30TH for full consideration
by the nominating committee. Self-nominations are welcome. The
effectiveness of the GHP depends on active and enthusiastic leadership,
so please take a moment to suggest candidates who you feel would be
effective in leading GHP activities and expanding the strength of the
group.
Attracting and serving a diverse and inclusive membership worldwide is a
primary goal for APS. In calling for nominations, we wish to remind you
how important it is to give full consideration to qualified women,
members of underrepresented minority groups, and scientists from outside
the United States
John Arrington, on behalf of the GHP Nominating Committee
