> The Topical Group on Hadronic Physics solicits nominations for the Dissertation Award in Hadronic Physics
> Nomination Deadline: September 6, 2016

> This award is intended to recognize a Ph.D. in hadronic physics obtained in the last two years. The award consists of $1,000 plus an allowance for travel to the biennial GHP Meeting where the award will be presented. The 2017 award will be presented at the 2017 GHP Meeting, held February 1 - 3, 2017 in Washington, D.C., directly following the APS April Meeting and in the same hotel.

> Nominations are open to any student member of GHP who has received a Ph.D. degree in experimental or theoretical hadronic physics within the two-year period preceding September 6, 2016. Nominations of women and members of other under-represented groups are encouraged.
>
> The nomination package should include:
> The name and address of the candidate
> A statement of the candidate's contribution to the research
> A letter of support from the candidate's Ph.D. dissertation advisor
> Two additional letters of support from physicists familiar with the candidate and the research
> A copy of the candidate's dissertation
> The nominations will be evaluated based on the quality of the written dissertation (40%), the contribution of the student to the research (30%), the impact of the work (15%), and the broader involvement of the student in the community (15%).

> The nominations should be sent, preferably by email, to the Chair of the Dissertation Award Committee:
