[Cuga] Search for Next NREL Deputy Laboratory Director - Science and Technology- a message from Martin Keller

Dear National Lab Directors Council Members,

Weare seeking a highly-qualified candidate for the NREL Deputy 
Laboratory Director, Science and Technology.  Over the next several 
months the search committee, chaired by Bobi Garrett, will work to 
source potential prospects, conduct screening phone interviews to assess 
qualifications, hold in-person interviews and ultimately recommend a 
short list of strong, viable candidates for my consideration.  We will 
be moving as quickly as possible with the search, but balance the desire 
to move quickly with taking the appropriate time needed to identify a 
diverse and well-qualified slate of candidates.

I would appreciate your help in identifying potential prospects.  The 
key attributes that I am seeking in candidates are strong and 
distinguished science credentials, thought leadership with respect to a 
science and technology vision, and the ability to engage internally and 
externally to engage the research community in shaping the vision and 
strategy and its implementation.  The candidate should also have a track 
record for helping to create a culture of innovation the ability to work 
collaboratively within a leadership team to achieve results.
