Dear Colleagues,

We send circular of the workshop on hadron tomography on July 31
in Kyoto, Japan. It includes a tentative program.

If you come to the 14th International Conference on Meson-Nucleon Physics
and the Structure of the Nucleon (MENU 2016, Kyoto University, July 25-30)
http://menu2016.riken.jp/
or if you are in Japan in this summer, you may consider to join
our discussions at the workshop on hadron tomography on July 31, 2016
in Kyoto.

If you come, we suggest you to order a lunch box by sending us
the registration form because there is no lunch break.

                   Workshop on hadron tomography

**********************************************************************

Just after the 14th International Conference on Meson-Nucleon Physics
and the Structure of the Nucleon (MENU 2016, Kyoto University, July 25-30),
we have a one-day workshop on hadron tomography.

It has become necessary to understand three-dimensional structure of
the nucleon for finding the origin of the nucleon spin and for describing
high-energy hadron reactions. The relevant three-dimensional structure
functions, such as the generalized parton distribution functions (GPDs),
transverse-momentum-dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs),
and the generalized distribution amplitudes (GDAs) which are s-t crossed
quantities of the GPDs, provide us with the tomographic picture of hadrons.
These functions can be derived from the QCD Wigner distribution integrated
over kinematical variables. They can be investigated at Japanese
experimental
facilities, J-PARC and KEK-B, in addition to the projects at BNL, JLab,
Fermilab, CERN, and future EIC.

This workshop is intended for discussions about recent progress in hadron
tomography and nucleon spin physics among theorists and experimentalists.
We also plan to discuss possible J-PARC and KEK-B projects.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Kyoto.

Best Regards, Yoshitaka Hatta, Shunzo Kumano, Kazuhiro Tanaka
