ACCELERATOR SCIENCE / EXPERIMENTAL NUCLEAR PHYSICS
Over the last two weeks, the CEBAF Accelerator has continued to deliver beam on target for experiments in all four experimental halls. The graphic shows an exceptional 24-hour period of beam delivery, with the pink bar representing accelerator up time, and the green bars representing the available beam delivered to each hall in alphabetical order.

During this run period, Hall D has now recorded nearly twice the amount of data as compared to last year's run. This leaves the GlueX experiment phase I (E12-06-102) at more than 50 percent complete.
ESH&Q
Results from Today ’s Personnel Accounting Procedure Exercise
As part of a DOE accountability drill, JSA was asked to conduct an accountability exercise of its staff and report the results to the Thomas Jefferson Site Office. Staff members were notified via the emergency notification channels to report to their supervisors, who then reported up their chain, and within two hours, JSA was able to account for over 95 percent of our staff! And, by 3:30 p.m., JSA was able to account for 97 percent of the staff (or over 99 percent, if those scheduled for travel or vacation or were not scheduled to work are taken into consideration). ESH&Q received feedback on the process and will be looking at ways to improve it.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
JSA Minority/Female Undergraduate Research Assistantship Now Taking Nominations
Jefferson Lab is seeking nominations of minority or female undergraduate physics students from accredited universities for a research assistantship for the 2017-2018 academic year. The assistantship provides students an opportunity to work on science and engineering projects related to the lab's research. Students must be nominated by a faculty member. The nomination deadline is Wednesday, May 31 . This project is supported by the JSA Initiatives Fund program. For eligibility and nomination requirements, see the full posting .

Update: LDRD Program Proposals
If you are planning to submit a proposal for the Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) program, don’t forget to consult with your division budget analyst by close of business on Tuesday, April 24 . The due date for formal proposals is April 29 . For more information, see the full memo here .

Reminder: D&I Webinar Offered Tomorrow
Jefferson Lab’s Diversity & Inclusion Council is now offering free webinars on a variety of current workplace topics relevant to working in academic and research environments. The next webinar, “Part 2 - Succeeding with Difficult People: Steps 4, 5, and 6,” will be offered Thursday, April 19 , in CEBAF Center room L102 at 1 p.m. Seminars vary in length from one hour to an hour and a half. No reservations are required. A schedule of seminar topics can be found in the full memo .

Jefferson Lab Teacher Night Attracts Enthusiastic Crowd
