Personnel Accountability Exercise Set for Dec. 11
Jefferson Lab will once again test the system for employee accountability during the next DOE Accountability Exercise on Tuesday, Dec. 11. All JSA staff members will receive notification of the commencement of the exercise via e-mail and/or text. Both will contain a link to the response system. You only need to respond using one method (via the link in the email or via the link in the text). Simply follow the instructions when prompted. 2019 General Access RWP Available for Signature
The 2019 General Access Radiological Work Permit is now available for signature. To retain Accelerator Site access, all trained radiation workers possessing a dosimeter must read and electronically sign the RWP before Jan. 7, 2019. COMPUTING
Smartcard Expirations
In the winter of 2016, the IT Division began issuing Smartcards in conjunction with new requirements from DOE. These new multi-factor authentication (MFA) tokens are in the form of PIV-C Smartcards by Gemalto. The certificates on these PIV-C Smartcards are expiring as early as next week for some users. The IT Division has been sending out automated emails to notify Smartcard users of their expiration date. If you have received an email, pay close attention to your expiration date. Be sure to have your Smartcard updated prior to the shutdown if your card expires within the next 30 days. To update your card, contact the IT Division Help Desk at helpdesk at jlab.org<mailto:helpdesk at jlab.org> or x7155 to make an appointment (and minimize wait time). Do not forget to bring your current Smartcard with you to your appointment and reboot your systems prior to your arrival.

Office 365 Email Migration Is Underway
The IT Division is now transitioning all Jefferson Science Associates staff members to Office 365 (Outlook) for email. Transition date will be based on division, with the Physics Division starting on Dec. 5. Be Prepared for Your Migration to Office 365 with Training
Office 365 email and calendar training will be held at 2 p.m. in the CEBAF Center auditorium every Tuesday and Thursday until the winter holiday break. Accelerator Computing Audit
The Accelerator Computing Group will be performing a registration and audit of all Accelerator user accounts as part of planned upgrades. The audit tool can be accessed on-site via the "ACE Account Audit" link from the "Useful Links" page of the logbook. This registration entails simply authenticating you current Accelerator user account and should only take a few seconds. To retain your Accelerator user account, perform this registration by Dec. 21. After this date, unverified Accelerator user accounts will be disabled and will require an ACE-PR for re-activation. Note that this audit only concerns Accelerator user accounts and will not affect your Jefferson Lab central computing user account. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Tornado Warning Siren Test Set for Friday
Jefferson Lab's tornado warning siren will undergo its monthly operational test at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. Individuals planning to be in the Central Materials Storage Area (where the siren is located) while the test is taking place must have with them and wear two layers of hearing protection.

Mobile Mammography Unit Set to Visit Jefferson Lab on Jan. 25
The Chesapeake Regional Mobile Mammography Unit will be stationed in the Applied Research Center (ARC) parking lot on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019. Appointments will be available during the hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mammography detects breast cancer, and The American Cancer Society recommends scheduling your first or baseline mammogram by age 40. Both 2D and 3D mammograms will be offered. This service is open to everyone, as personal health insurances will be billed.
