ACCELERATOR SCIENCE / EXPERIMENTAL NUCLEAR PHYSICS
Restoration of beam in the CEBAF Accelerator over the past week has gone well, with a notable accomplishment of stable beam at 900 kilowatts and 85 microamps for a 30-minute period on Tuesday . A temporary repair to fix a small vacuum leak in the horizontal radiofrequency 5th pass separator, which enables beam to Hall D, has been effected to allow continuation of the program. The official resumption of beam delivery for experiments is expected this evening.

Know the Personnel Accountability Procedure to Report Your Status
There may be instances when the management at Jefferson Lab needs to account for all, or a specific subset, of personnel. This could occur in conjunction with catastrophic events, which could range from natural disasters and emergency situations to manmade incidents. To meet this requirement, each division’s leadership is responsible for developing and managing their own personnel accounting and reporting procedure. This requirement is outlined in the Environment, Safety and Health Manual. Additional information about this requirement and a link to the manual may be found in the full staff memo .
