SUBJECT: MOMO's to Begin Quark Cafe Service, Sept. 9

Dear Colleagues:

Please join us in welcoming MOMO's, a local family-owned business who will assume operations of the Quark Café, Monday, Sept. 9. MOMO's has served the Hampton Roads region for more than a decade and we are excited to bring them to the lab. They specialize in fresh, tried-and-true homemade dishes that we are confident you will fall in love with.

MOMO's will offer traditional catering, as well as daily breakfast and lunch service to the lab community. They will be temporarily preparing the made-from-scratch menu items in their off-site kitchen to bring to and sell at the Quark Café daily. This will allow for them to have the necessary time to develop all safety plans needed for cooking on-site in the kitchen with minimal disruption to café services.

MOMO's comes highly recommended by outside food service consultant, Cini-Little. Cini-Little arrived at the recommendation after a thorough exploration of our current food service model and by way of focus groups including the staff and User community.

During the transition week of Sept. 3-6, a local restaurant will provide point-of-sale lunch service to the lab community. Keep an eye out for a lunch menu in the Weekly Briefs on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Stay tuned for more details on MOMO's newly-imagined menu for the Quark Café to be announced in the Weekly Briefs on Wednesday, Sept. 4!
