Dear All JLab Users:
As we are in the middle of another summer (and conference season), I'd like to remind everyone to please
consider utilizing the Extra Child Care (ExCARE) program. Please take a look at our latest wiki page
that include detailed description of eligible costs as well as a summary of all prior awards:

In addition, in order to gauge the need of this program within the user community, I will appreciate greatly
JSA
Travel Fund for Extra Child Care (ExCARE)<https://wiki.jlab.org/cugwiki/index.php/JSA_Travel_Fund_for_Extra_Child_Care_%28ExCARE%29>

The
JSA Travel Fund for Extra Child Care (ExCARE) provides fund to assist with expenses incurred from the extra childcare necessary for young scientist-parents to present JLab-related research to conferences, workshops, and collaboration meetings.
if (**regardless of whether you currently have children and/or plan to use this program**) everyone can please
fill out the online survey here:
https://virginia.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5vzyNMfz1u98LIx
The survey shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. As you will see, we are looking for opportunities to
allow more people to utilize the program, and your input will be very important to us. We will use the survey
results in our application to the JSA's Initiative Fund next year (but only if there is enough statistics!).
Disclaimer: The ExCare project is supported by the JSA Initiatives Fund Program, a commitment from the
JSA owners, SURA and PAE Applied Technologies. Initiatives Funds support programs, initiatives, and
activities that further the scientific outreach, promote the science, education and technology of the Jefferson Lab
and benefit the Lab’s extended user community in ways that complement the Lab’s basic and applied research
missions.
Best regards,
Xiaochao Zheng,
for the ExCARE committee: John Arrington, Rakitha Beminiwattha, and David Gaskell
