Upcoming Software Tutorials

On Wednesday April 8th, 10am-noon, Jim Pivarski (https://github.com/jpivarski) will be giving a tutorial on Uproot and Awkward Array.   Though organized by the EIC software group, this tutorial will be useful to anyone who wants to learn more about how to analyze root files with Python tools.    Materials for the tutorial are located on github: https://github.com/jpivarski/2020-04-08-eic-jlab and the tutorial will be presented on bluejeans: https://bluejeans.com/920347364. On Thursday April 9th, 10am-noon, there will be an EIC specific tutorial for those who want to learn about doing advanced fast simulations https://indico.bnl.gov/event/8243/.   This tutorial also makes use of modern Python tools and should be useful to anyone wishes to learn about doing EIC simulations.
