Dear Colleagues,
following our initial announcement of the workshop on July 21st, describing its scope in detail (see below), we cordially invite you to join us at Orsay to discuss the status and future developments of energy-frontier electron-hadron scattering, i.e. the physics, detector and accelerator progress on the LHeC/FCC-eh and the 500 MeV, high current energy recovery facility PERLE.
This is the first in-person meeting following the workshop in the fall of 2019, the release of Europe's updated strategy for future particle physics and the interrupt caused by Covid. We thus would particularly like to welcome many of you at the workshop. The draft program is available on the web and leaves ample space for contributions which we very much encourage to present.
The workshop begins at Orsay on Wednesday 26.10. at 2pm (CEST) and ends on Friday 28.10. in the afternoon.
For the program, registration and hints for transportation and accomodation, please consult the web page of the workshop

It is important for the organisation that you please register as soon as
you are able to - merci d'avance.
Please contact Nestor Armesto (nestor.armesto at usc.es<mailto:nestor.armesto at usc.es>) and Walid Kaabi (kaabi at ijclab.in2p3.fr<mailto:kaabi at ijclab.in2p3.fr>), or possibly another member of the organising committee, in case you want to talk at the workshop, have suggestions or other questions.
We are looking forward to a productive meeting and seeing many of you at Orsay and on Thursday evening at Musee D'Orsay downtown Paris.
kind regards, the Organising Committee

P.S. Apologies if you receive this announcement more than once.
Please see below a more detailed information on the scope of the workshop.
Workshop Information - mail from July 21, 2022
-------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
The next workshop on developing the electron-hadron program at the energy frontier will be held at IJCLab Orsay near Paris, from Wednesday 26/10 to Friday 28/10 2022. The meeting will be in person with possible online broadcasts.
While the LHC continues to provide us with a wealth of new results, our community is on a mission to discover new physics phenomena, either through direct discoveries or by finding cracks in our current theories. Accordingly, the European Strategy for Particle Physics expresses a vision to develop an overall ee-eh-hh FCC program, including an essential high-energy ep/eA component on QCD, electroweak, Higgs and BSM physics. In addition, and earlier in time, the LHeC provides such a program already at the LHC based on an Energy Recovery Linac (ERL) that delivers high-energy electrons.
Topics covered during this workshop include ep/eA physics at high energies and its relation to physics at hh and e+e- colliders. In particular, the progress of the preparation of the LHeC, the ERL high power demonstrator facility PERLE at Orsay and the FCC-eh will feature on the agenda. Important topics also include the design of an LHeC and FCC-eh detector at an interaction region for alternate eh-hh operation, the prospects and physics with PERLE, the ERL developments in the realm of the European Accelerator R&D Roadmap and organisational matters.
There is plenty of room to amplify the electron-hadron program, including EIC news. New ideas are expected for inclusion on the agenda in addition to current developments. Submitting your contributions is thus encouraged, especially from early career researchers. While a more detailed agenda will follow in due course, this is the link to the workshop page under development:

An organising committee is being formed and the registration will be announced in a forthcoming mail.
We look forward to the next phase of the eh program development, to receive your contributions and to meeting you on the occasion of the October workshop.
Kind regards,
Nestor Armesto, Olaf Behnke, Alex Bogacz, Daniel Britzger, Oliver Bruening, Jorgen D'Hondt, Monica D’Onofrio, Oliver Fischer, Claire Gwenlan, Bernhard Holzer, Andrew Hutton, Walid Kaabi, Max Klein, Uta Klein, Peter Kostka, Bruce Mellado, Paul Newman, Fred Olness, Alessandro Polini, Herwig Schopper, Christian Schwanenberger, Anna Stasto and Achille Stocchi, for the LHeC/FCCeh and PERLE
