Dear Jefferson Lab Users,
As a reminder, we will be hosting the Hazardous Energy Control Lockout/Tagout (HEC LOTO) Pause and Restart meeting on Friday, June 14, from 1-2 p.m. in the CEBAF Center auditorium and via Zoom<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__jlab.us11.list-2Dmanage.com_track_click-3Fu-3D1de9c43e6d5e45ff0ecd664cd-26id-3Ddfba3f5aba-26e-3D4b4b96ec69&d=DwMFaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=BvUlFmod3W9CROjOR8PEoRi3QsjmBT0tWP-wpmJDOhc&m=IKzMZfFLPxKBvzsfnp_OweeWOfy1_6nYNMTdNvsS9pf-jmZc21awbYcZoQlF6zQR&s=8yY7J7ugxS_N9DcFVrzFjJfvE4-xODOWEZMbt95qvT4&e=> (meeting ID: 161 639 9273, passcode: 099332).
Our plan is to host a series of weekly forums to keep you informed and engaged throughout this process. This Friday, we'll cover the progress we have made thus far. Expect an update on the following:
* Revisions to the ES&H Manual chapter for the Hazardous Energy Control Program and pre-job brief policy.
* HEC LOTO competency evaluation plan.
* Prioritization of projects and personnel to go through the competency evaluation process.
* Baseline evaluation of active locks update.
* Assessment of current PPE.
* “Day in the life” video series that shows "what good looks like" while performing HEC LOTO work.
* Notable event investigation update.
* Sharing of best practices.
* Question-and-answer session.
I would like to reiterate that the reason for this pause and restart plan is to ensure the safety of you and your colleagues, which we hold as our top priority. As I have mentioned before, your suggestions and feedback are crucial to our success. We have used your input into the competency evaluation process in our pilots that have already occurred. Working together with open communication, we look forward to getting back to work safely. Please continue to plan and execute your work safely, following appropriate procedures and maintaining a questioning attitude.
