*Postdoctoral Opening in Theoretical Nuclear Physics at the University
of Washington *
The Nuclear Theory Group at the University of Washington anticipates
filling one postdoctoral position to start in the Fall of 2012. This is
a full-time, 12-month(one-year) appointment which may be extended upon
successful performance up to a maximum term of three years.
The Theoretical Nuclear Physics Group consists of five faculty members -
A. Bulgac, E. M. Henley (emeritus), H.W. Lin, G. A. Miller, M. J.
Savage, and post docs and students. The research interests of the group
include lattice QCD applied to nuclear physics and the structure of
hadrons, effective field theory for nuclear physics, high energy nuclear
tests of QCD, fundamental symmetries, spin and flavor structure of the
nucleon, nuclear effects on atoms, equilibrium and non-equilibrium
properties of nuclear and related many-body systems. In addition, the
group works closely with the Institute for Nuclear Theory and PNNL.

statement and the names of three senior physicists who will provide
letters of recommendation. Applicants must have a PhD in theoretical
physics, awarded *_within the past 4 years_* (or scheduled to be
completed prior to the start date).
To apply submit a CV, a statement of research interests, a list of
publications and 3 letters of reference by *12/15/11. *. /The
