The Department of Physics, Computer Science & Engineering at Christopher
Newport University has several adjunct teaching opportunities available
for Spring 2013. This is an excellent opportunity for post-doctoral
research associates, in particular, who are looking forward to permanent
teaching/research positions in the future to gain valuable experience in
the classroom, and strengthen their teaching resumes. The
class/laboratory sections that we have available are as follows:

Lecture Class:

Physics 402 - Quantum Mechanics - Tuesday/Thursday 3:00pm-4:15pm
(currently has seven students registered)

Laboratory Classes:

Physics 152 Lab - Algebra-based Physics Laboratory

Monday 8:00am-10:45am
Tuesday 8:00am-10:45am
Monday 6:00pm-8:45pm

Physics 202 Lab - Calculus-based Physics Laboratory - Thursday 6:00pm-8:45pm

The adjunct pay rate for lecture classes at CNU is approximately $3200
for the semester. For laboratory classes, the rate is approximately
$2150. If you are interested in teaching one or more of these
offerings, please contact Dr. Edward Brash at brash at jlab.org
