research, educational and professional publishers. Chief Editor -Nature 
Reviews Physics Nature Publishing Group, the publisher of Nature, is 
looking to recruit a Chief Editor for Nature Reviews Physics, a new 
journal that will launch in 2018. Nature Reviews Physics will join our 
highly influential family of Nature Reviews journals, renowned for their 
editorial quality and supported by best-in-class artwork. Our aim in 
launching Nature Reviews Physics is to provide the broadest possible 
scientific community with high-quality, critical reviews of the latest, 
most important findings in all areas of physics. To help realize this 
vision, we require an ambitious, dynamic Chief Editor who will develop, 
launch and establish Nature Reviews Physics as the leading publication 
covering all aspects of physics research. The successful candidate will 
have an excellent research record, including a PhD in an area of physics 
research, and strong leadership qualities. Previous editorial and/or 
managerial experience is an additional advantage. The job will be based 
in our modern London offices. This demanding and stimulating role calls 
for a keen interest in the practice and communication of science; a key 
aspect of the job is interacting with the scientific community and 
attending international conferences. The successful candidate must, 
therefore, be dynamic and outgoing, be prepared to travel, and have 
excellent interpersonal skills. Applicants for the Chief Editor position

your vision for the journal’s content, competitive position and 
longer-term development; a list of 10 review-type articles, including 
titles and authors, and a brief rationale for each article; and a cover
