Professor (one person) (Code 20-01-16)

2. Requirements:
Doctor in Physics degree or an equivalent in the area of Theoretical or
Experimental Physics of Elementary Particles or Astroparticles; Teaching
experience of undergraduate and graduate courses; Scientific research
experience and ability for collaborative work with colleagues and
students; Fluency in oral and written Spanish and English.

3. Proposed Start Date:
As of January 2021, to work at the Casa Central Valparaíso Campus.

4. Term:
Permanent Position

6. Remuneration:
According to academic evaluation.

Physics department of Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria has a solid
research group of theoretical and experimental particle physics, which
includes professors, associated researchers, postdoctoral researchers and
graduate students. Our group actively participates in several
international scientific experiential collaborations (ATLAS at CERN,
Fermilab, Jefferson lab). In the faculty’s laboratories we develop
hardware and software related projects which include building particle
