This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Staff Scientist, you will be responsible for development of image formation technology for SPECT.
· In this role, you will contribute or lead research efforts to support the development of multimodal quantitative SPECT instrumentation, by
o simulating and building prototypes using your ability to critically evaluate concepts, design experiments to test the assumptions, components, or systems, and to improve, but to also consider constraints from business aspects.
· It is expected that you have significant expertise in gamma ray detector instrumentation specifically and of gamma ray image formation, in general.

· As you are working in a multi-disciplinary team with access to luminary researchers worldwide, and you should have a strong customer focus and passion to understand and address clinical needs in this field.
· You should be comfortable to take on large and complex problems as an individual contributor or as part of a larger team.
· Your excellent communication skills and expertise will also allow you to provide technical support to service and marketing teams in addressing customer complaints and inquiries, and you will collaborate with luminary clinical sites worldwide to test and validate the new technologies in a clinical setting.
· Willingness to travel and flexibility, including short-term international deployment, is expected
Required skills to have for the success of this role
· Ph.D. in experimental nuclear physics with 7+ years experience post graduation
· Desired areas of expertise
o Gamma ray detection instrumentation and image formation
o Dosimetry
o Medical Imaging
· Demonstrated strong statistical data analysis skills and high proficiency using Matlab, Python, C/C++/C# on Windows, Linux/Unix platforms.
· Demonstrated ability of experimental design and prototype development, supported by Simulations and Design-of-Experiments (DoE) analysis.
· Demonstrated ability to use Matlab or Python, or equivalent.
· Commercial research experience preferred.
· Ability to communicate with both scientists and non-scientists is essential.
· Willing to travel up to 20%.
