[d2n-analysis-talk] Hall A Annual Report 2012: A Possible Update?

Hi all,

I had just done a systematic error study concerning the background
subtraction of signals corresponding to nitrogen and positrons.  The
resulting error bands may be seen in the attached plots.  They are the in
quadrature sum of the contributions due to PID and target cuts, target
density, charge calibration and each background signal (negative nitrogen
data, positive nitrogen data and positrons from 3He).

The individual contributions may be seen in Matt's talk from the Hall A

My plan would be to insert the attached plots into the Hall A report with
the following caption:

Preliminary results for the Born cross sectons, compared to P. Bosted's
F1F209 model for E = 4.73 GeV (a) and 5.89 GeV (b).  The error bars show
the statistical errors, while the bands show the systematic errors from
experimental cuts and other uncertainties (Sect. 1.6.3) and errors due to
the subtraction of background signals from nitrogen scattering and
positron production in scattering electrons from 3He.

If this is OK, I would submit the update to Seamus by tomorrow afternoon.
