Hello Everyone,

The submission deadline for our DIRC proposal has been postponed from 
Oct 15 to Nov 14. This is good news since I was running a little behind 
on the intro part, and it will also give Jochen a chance to look it over 
before we submit! :)

Dear R&D contacts, and other interested parties,

As you know, the FY 2012 call for new and updated EIC Generic Detector 
R&D proposals sets a deadline for submission on October 15, 2011.  This 
was predicated on an anticipated meeting of the Advisory Committee in 
early November.  Due to late-breaking schedule conflicts, the Advisory 
Committee meeting is being re-scheduled.  Dates for the meeting are not 
yet firm, but we are aiming for mid-December.  Thus, the submission date 
for proposals is being extended until November 14, 2011.  However, to 
assist with our planning, PLEASE SEND AN ABSTRACT OF YOUR PROPOSAL TO ME 
ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 15.

The dates for the Committee meeting will be announced as soon as they 
are fixed.  Details, with an agenda, will be updated on the program
