[DIRC] meeting on Wednesday

Hello Everyone!

Let's have a meeting this Wednesday at 10 am EST (in F228 for the locals).

The main topic will be the renewal proposal due October 15.

Although it is likely that the funding will only be extended for one 
year at a time, we need to present a plan and budget for all three 
years. The proposal addendum that was submitted shifted some items (in 
particular prototyping of EV) out of year one, and expanded the 
simulations somewhat. Year 3 was largely unaffected. It thus seems 
relatively straightforward to essentially keep most of the original 
deliverables, only with some reshuffling. The documents can be viewed

The major changes we need to make to the proposal thus seem to be the 
following:

1. Expand the introduction somewhat to address some of the committees 
questions.
2. Add a part about the high-field sensor testing facility, and present 
an updated test plan.
3. Explain the new path for prototyping and make the corresponding 
adjustments to hardware procurement.
4. Any other changes we want to make to beyond reshuffling to reflect 
new ideas or adjust to committee recommendations.

Perhaps we could try to go over these items (and any other that may come 
up) to make sure that we have an idea of how to address them before the 
deadline?
